Spring is in the air bringing with it an urgency with regard to the potential for renewal
and regeneration. Time to clear out old worn out ways of looking at life in order to
prepare for new windows of opportunity. A time to harvest the abundance from the
seeds sown prior to winter. A time of cleansing, purifying and detoxifying the mind,
body and spirit in order to shed the excess of that which was accumulated for comfort
and warmth during Autumn and Winter.
The number vibrations for this time of year reflect all of the above yet the potential is
always there for so much more to be expressed and experienced through using each
moment as an opportunity to see your creative potential through different eyes
Our true creative potential is not always visible due to the fact that the numbers
contained in our birth date form a part of the tools we use in our natural expression.
It is my belief that so much more of the secrets we hold within lie in the missing
numbers especially those that fall a direct line. Much like the space that appears
not to be used in our own minds so too I wonder what secrets lay in the spaces in
between?
What Spring 2010 holds for us
September is a 9 month presenting us with opportunities for completion, ending and clearing out the old and that which no longer serves. September and the vibration
of the number 9 often challenges people to let go and allow change to occur without
resistance. The more resistance there is to change the harder the lesson of the
number 9 becomes. As a time of shedding it is necessary to recognise what we no
longer need on all levels of life. This is the role The Hermit in the Tarot plays giving
us the opportunity for inner reflection and a chance to shine a much needed light on
those places within where the deeper truths lie with regard to your own journey and
what stands in the way of achieving our life’s dream.
October is a 10 month. The zero I feel it is extremely significant in terms of the unmanifested potential that lies within its depths. The 10 represents new beginnings,
exploring other possibilities and laying new foundations based on what was realised,
completed and shed from the number 9. The ease with which the new manifests will
be reflected by what was revealed during the time spent dwelling in the 9 and the
Hermit energy. For now we bring in The Wheel of Fortune in the Tarot, which gives
us infinite potential for changing the course of our life simply by recognising that what
you ask for you receive, for knowing what you place on the wheel will determine the
end result.
November is an 11 month. The number 11 is also a Master Number bringing forth opportunities for balance and greater understanding of self, others and the roles we
play in each others lives. The 11 in its lower form reduces to the number 2 bringing
in sensitivity, feelings, intuition, the need for connection and recognition in relation to
our individual differences. The Number 2 and the 11 can also bring in the extremes
in relation to emotions and what is felt on an individual level or within a partnership
whether that be personal or business. The 11 in the Tarot is the card of Justicerepresenting that there is more than one way in which Justice is served. There is
Universal Justice which always reveals the truth in every experience. Its message
for us is to become more aware that the action we take on one level of experience
always has a consequence on another.
Give your ideas the potential to bear fruit by exploring the spaces in between!

Numerology is the study of numbers and what they reveal about the energies operating in the universe and ourselves. Numerological divination has been around for thousands of years. We find it in the histories of Egypt, the Middle East, India and China. However, most of what we call ‘numerology’ today was developed by the Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras, around two-and-a-half thousand years ago. Pythagoras taught that numbers are the substance of all things, and that all things perceived in the world are expressions of mathematical ratios. Thus, according to Pythagorean theory, reality is comprised of a mathematical harmony of numbers.
Numerologists use simple arithmetic when devising a chart or forecast. However, numbers have a special meaning in numerology; they are not just seen as symbols of comparative quantity but as vibrations.
In his book, Discovering the Inner Self, Dr David A. Phillips explains the vibrational significance of numbers: “…everything in life is vibration, for all matter is composed of atoms and these are not only vibrating at specific frequencies, but vary from one another by the number of electrons, protons and neutrons they contain. Similarly, vibrations basically vary from one another by the number of cycles per second at which they oscillate. Every sound, colour, fragrance, thought etc., is a vibration and they all dance to the tune of their inherit numbers, and all, in their way, have connections with human life.”
The basis of a numerology reading is the birth chart, which reveals an interrelation of vibrations that reflect the individual’s personality, nature, talents, drives and life purpose. The chart is constructed on a nine-spaced grid, and each number present in the birth date is placed in its appropriate space. The numbers, their distribution in the grid, and the frequency with which a number occurs in a particular space, all have something to say to the numerologist about the subject.
Your ideal pathway in life is revealed by your ruling number, which is the sum total of the numbers in your birth date. This number can help you better understand your life’s purpose, best expression, most suitable vocations, distinctive traits and negative tendencies. By following the pathway indicated by your ruling number, it is said that you allow the core of individuality to grow, and thereby nurture the development of your unique talents and aptitudes.
The other significant numbers that influence your personality are the day number, which is the number of the day of the month on which you were born, and the name number, which is the sum total derived from the letters in your name. The name number reveals how the vibration of your name affects your inner self. The day number represents your outer self, or the manner by which you express your individuality.
Numerologists also use dates and numbers to determine the best times for change and transformation. By assessing the numerological vibration at any given moment, numerologists can tell you when to travel, when to change jobs, when to marry, when to move, or when to buy and sell if you choose to follow their advice.
Numerology is perhaps the most simple esoteric science, yet it offers a profound insight into our motivations, experiences and destiny. By helping us break free from the masks that hide our true selves; numerology can enrich and intensify our journeys to self-actualisation.
